Optix is TreasuryPath’s AI assistant for Slack. It answers questions about your connected treasury data and delivers notifications. See what Optix can do or read how we handle Slack data.
Before you connect
- You need a TreasuryPath account and an accepted invitation to your organization’s workspace.
- The person connecting Slack needs permission to manage TreasuryPath integrations. Your Slack organization may also require an admin to approve installation.
- Use the same email address for Slack and your confirmed TreasuryPath account so the accounts can be linked.
- Optix uses your TreasuryPath access to determine which companies and actions are available. Installing the app does not grant additional financial permissions.
Contact support if you need help with account availability or your organization’s plan. Slack features can also depend on your organization’s Slack plan and app settings.
Install Optix
- Sign in to TreasuryPath.
- Choose the relevant company, open Integrations, and find Slack.
- Select Connect. Choose the intended Slack workspace, review the permissions, and authorize the connection.
- Return to TreasuryPath to configure the integration, including the channel for notifications.
- In Slack, open Optix from your apps. Open its Home tab or send it a direct message.
If you cannot see or connect the integration, ask your TreasuryPath workspace admin to check your permissions. If Slack requires approval, follow your organization’s app installation process.
Get help and ask your first question
Type help in a direct message to Optix for usage guidance and support links. This is a normal message; you do not need to enter a slash command.
When prompted, choose the TreasuryPath company you want to work with. Try “What is our current cash position?” or “Summarize this week’s forecast.” Follow up in the same thread to keep the conversation together.
To use Optix in a channel, add the app to that channel and mention @Optix. Optix can use earlier messages in the thread for context. Use a DM when the question or attached file should not be shared with channel members.
Optix uses AI services to generate answers. Responses can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check important figures against your TreasuryPath records before making a decision.
Link or correct your account
Optix links Slack users to TreasuryPath members using matching email addresses. Accept your TreasuryPath invitation and confirm your account email before trying again.
Your workspace admin can manage Slack member links in TreasuryPath. A link must match the member’s confirmed TreasuryPath email and a user in the connected Slack workspace. An admin cannot use a link to grant one person another person’s account access.
If your emails differ, update the relevant account through your organization’s normal process or contact support. If a company is missing, ask your admin to check your company access and active membership. Reinstalling Optix does not grant access to a company.
Channels and notifications
Your organization configures the channel used for treasury notifications. Add Optix to the intended channel before selecting it, particularly for private channels.
Notification preferences control which insights you receive in DMs. Review your member settings in TreasuryPath if notifications are too frequent or missing. Workspace channel settings and personal DM preferences are separate.
Some companies direct channel answers to a DM. If Optix offers a Share to channel action, review the answer and the channel’s membership before sharing. Once shared, the message is visible to people who can access that channel.
Payment approvals
An approval or payment action in Slack is a request to TreasuryPath. TreasuryPath checks your permissions and the payment’s state. Approving a payment can trigger execution through TreasuryPath’s payment providers; the Slack message is not a substitute for reviewing the recipient, amount, currency, and approval workflow.
If a card is old, the payment has changed, or an action is rejected, open the payment in TreasuryPath and review its current status. Do not repeatedly approve a payment to resolve an error. Contact your workspace admin if your role does not allow the action.
Troubleshooting
Optix does not recognize me
Check that your TreasuryPath invitation is accepted, your email is confirmed, and your Slack email matches it. Ask your workspace admin to review the member link. You can still type help for general guidance.
Optix does not answer in a channel
Make sure the app is a member of the channel, then mention @Optix. Check your DMs in case the answer was redirected there. Private channels require an invitation for the app.
I cannot select a company or take an action
Ask your workspace admin to confirm your active membership, company access, and relevant permissions. A linked Slack account uses the same access as your TreasuryPath membership.
The connection stopped working
A Slack admin may have removed the app or revoked access. Review the connection in TreasuryPath’s Integrations page and reconnect if appropriate. A workspace admin may need to approve the connection again.
Disconnect, uninstall, or request deletion
To disconnect from TreasuryPath, open Integrations, select Slack, and use the disconnect action. To uninstall from Slack, ask a Slack workspace admin to remove Optix through Slack’s app management settings. Reconnecting requires a new authorization.
Removing Optix does not close your TreasuryPath account or cancel payments already submitted. Connection removal and requests to delete stored Slack data are described in the Slack section of our privacy policy.
To request deletion or ask what Slack data remains, email privacy@treasurypath.com. We verify the requester and their authority before acting on a workspace-wide request.
Contact support
Email support@treasurypath.com with the approximate time of the issue, the feature you were using, and the error message. A screenshot with sensitive information removed can help.
Do not send passwords, Slack tokens, signing secrets, bank credentials, or unredacted financial files. We will ask for any additional information needed to investigate through an appropriate channel.
